Lost Item Owner

1. Notify-Me-Tag’s QR Code was scanned, and the owner receives a notification email of the scan.

2. Owner waits to see if the “item finder” sends a contact email containing their phone number or an email address for the owner use to coordinate recovery of the lost item.

3. If you are concerned about safety, take someone with you to an agreed safe location to meet for lost item recovery.

4. Safe locations can be police stations or any place that would have many people around.

5. Another option is to have the finder place the lost item in a safe place or give it to the police. The police could scan the item and then send their phone number.

Lost Item Finder

1. Scan the QR Code on the attached Notify-Me-Tag with a smartphone.

2. Deny any request for your GPS position to be passed to the lost item owner.

3. Use the ”SEND” button that is displayed on the smartphone display screen AFTER typing in your phone number or email address for the lost item owner to use to contact you to recover their lost item.

4. Arrange for the recovery to be in a safe place and take someone with you.

5. If you did NOT “SEND” your phone number or email address, the Lost Item Owner will NOT be able to recover their lost item.

6. Optionally, take lost item to someone else who can or is willing to contact the lost item owner. The local police station would be the best choice.
